How to Tye Dye

Follow our little guide to get the perfect spiral design on your t-shirts if trying tie dye at home..

When you're done dying it helps to leave the shirts wrapped for 24 hours. The colours come out stronger. When you're ready to undo make sure you save all your elastic bands and plastic bags for next time.

Sort into matching colours and rinse one by one under a cold tap then put similer colour shirts in the wash with a tea spoon full of washing powder and wash. You may lose some colour during this process but they should still be bright. You can dry them on the line or in a tumble dryer.

Wash for the first few times alone, without other washing items incase you get a bit of colour leak.

Happy tie dye!
